Practice closure for staff training - Wednesday 25th April 2018

The Practice will close at 12.00noon on Wednesday 25th April to provide important training and learning events for staff. If you require urgent medical advice during the closure please contact out of hours by calling 111. Thank you.

We have gone live with a new online system called eConsult. It allows patients to self-check symptoms and receive medical advice without attending the Surgery. You can use this 24 hours a day and if needed our GPs will respond no later than the end of the next working day. Please see our home page for further details.

Our partners, management and staff are excited to announce that the GP Practices in the Holderness Health Alliance; which includes Church View Surgery in Hedon, Eastgate Medical Group in Hornsea, Hedon Group Practice and South Holderness Medical Practice in Withernsea; plan to work towards one merged partnership by late 2018.

Our practices have been successful in working closely together for many months and feel that this is the next natural step in our journey as we work towards achieving

Our Shared Purpose of "working together with integrity to create a resilient future for our patients and practices".

We anticipate that sharing our experienced clinical and administrative teams will ensure that we continue to provide all our patients with the high quality local care and local services which we are passionate about maintaining. Combining the expertise of all four practices should also allow us to access more funding from NHS England, have a stronger voice in how services are delivered locally and improve the patient experience.

The East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group and the local NHS England team fully support our decision which they also feel will help sustain the future of general practice in Holderness.

Patients should be reassured that you can continue to access GP services as you do now. We are also committed to keeping patients informed and involved in our journey and will share regular updates as our plan progresses.

We would like you to think about your recent experience of our service. How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?

The Friends and Family Test (FFT) is an important feedback tool that supports the fundamental principle that people who use NHS services should have the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience. It asks people if they would recommend the services they have used and provides a mechanism to highlight both good and poor patient experience. This kind of feedback is vital in transforming NHS services and supporting patient choice. The feedback gathered through the FFT is being used in NHS organisations across the country to stimulate local improvement to make a real difference to patients.

If you would like to give your feedback please click the link below or collect a form from reception.
